To become a registered member the following requirements would need
to be met:
Either a) Have been a licentiate member of the council AND Have been
in practice for a minimum of one year AND Have completed a minimum of
100 client hours AND Submit two cases studies of 1500 words AND Submit
a statement of progress made within the first year of practice of 500-1000
words.
Or b) Show evidence of formal training in hypnotherapy AND Have been in practice for a minimum of one year AND Have completed a minimum of 100 client hours AND have completed the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma. Answers will be expected to show experience gained since qualification.
Or c) Show evidence of formal training in hypnotherapy AND Have been
in practice for a minimum of one year AND Have completed a minimum of
100 client hours AND Submit two cases studies of 1500 words AND Submit
a statement of personal and professional philosophy of 1500 words. This
will be expected to show experience gained since qualification.
All applicants at this level must also:
- Provide two references, at least one of which must be from a fellow
hypnotherapist or hypnotherapy trainer
- Show a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Give details of an established system of peer-support or supervision.
- Undertake to adhere to the Code of Ethics and Practice
- Undertake to remain fully and appropriately insured throughout their
membership of the NCH.
- Be prepared to discuss their application with a member nominated by
the committee
- Accept that the committee's decision is final.
Every member is entitled to a Membership
Certificate on acceptance.
