CPD Event title: Grief Hypnotherapy Practitioner Training
Brief Description Of Event: Grief is something which is a part of everyone’s life at some point. There is no timeframe for grief and hypnosis can help people deal with coping strategies, self-compassion and acceptance. This new workshop reflects a need for skilled hypnotherapy provision in this area and combines a stages-of-grief approach with self-compassion and a multi-modality approach to working with grief clients.
Learning Objectives: During this workshop we will cover: • What is grief? • Grief, loss, trauma and complicated grief • What are clients looking for? • How can hypnotherapy help? • Making sense of grief • Models for understanding grief • Self-compassion and self-caring • The use of metaphorical storytelling • Paths to healing and recovery • Being present • Releasing guilt • Finding a new normal
Course Structure: In the first half of the workshop, we will explore what grief is and the different theories around how to work with grief. We will then explore and workshop hypnotherapeutic approaches towards grief. All client resources, forms and scripts are included within the workshop.
