Workshop Highlights:
The huge spotlight on the menopause in the media over the past few years especially, has led to more open discussion and acceptance of seeking help. At the same time, this increase in information can be confusing and overwhelming for clients, and it make sense for them to turn to hypnotherapy for high quality, informed support.
Through popular demand this CPD is being run again. In this one-day CPD you will have the opportunity to better understand some of the core concepts of menopause, menopausal symptoms and treatments so that you’re in a position to work safely and knowledgeably with both clients and the broader healthcare team. Using this foundation, we will then explore approaches to your solution focused practice which will enhance your ability to support the client in sessions, increasing your confidence and resources to deliver safe, effective hypnotherapy support within the menopause setting.
Beverley Longhurst is a clinical nurse specialist in breast cancer with over a decade of experience working in the women’s health space. She is also a clinical hypnotherapist (London Hypnotherapy Academy) and yoga teacher. She runs virtual clinics privately, and was one of the founding practitioners of the health tech platform Perci Health. Beverley has many years’ experience in non-hormonal management of menopausal symptoms to either accompany medication support or as a substitute to HRT. She has also studied with the British Menopause Society on the foundations of menopause and in the application of CBT.
Beverley has successfully used clinical hypnotherapy as a resource for countless oncology patients, and carers as a way of building resilience, transforming confidence and learning an effective self-soothing technique for relaxation.
