CPD Event title: Chronic pain and Depression. A drug-free, non-invasive and simple-to-use approach.
Brief Description Of Event: Chronic pain is a term used to describe pain that lasts beyond the typical time it takes for an illness or injury to heal. Sometimes
chronic pain is also described as pain that lasts longer than three months. Research suggests that anywhere from 30 to 50% of people with chronic pain also struggle with depression or anxiety. Sometimes it can be difficult to assess whether chronic pain has led to depression or vice versa. It’s like asking,
“Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” Pain can cause depression and anxiety. Depression and anxiety can cause pain. Unfortunately, many turn to painkilling drugs or experimental surgeries, usually emerging no better than they were before. As an alternative to these demoralising (and risky) options. Psychosensory Therapies including Thought Field Therapy® (TFT) has proven extraordinarily effective at stopping the pain in its tracks.
Learning Objectives: This hands-on and practical workshop will teach you a range of psychosensory techniques that you can implement in your practice.
