⭐ 11th May 2019 (2 days) – Effectiveness of Hypnosis and the Evidence in Neuroscience

CPD Event title: Effectiveness of Hypnosis and the Evidence in Neuroscience

Brief Description Of Event: This course covers everything from why our clients feel anxious, angry or sad and how hypnotherapy can help. We will present the evidence base to our first discussions with new clients, the initial consultation, how we can use the latest neuroscience findings to create the best therapeutic working environment, how EEG shows us what goes on in the brain during trance and concludes with how the science of psychoneuroimmunology explains the link between our mental health and our physical health.

Learning Objectives: 1. To understand how the brain works and why our clients are feeling angry, anxious or sad. Using the latest neuroscience findings to explain to our clients why they feel the way they do and what we can do about it.
2. To understand the importance of the ‘meet and greet’ phase of our appointments, using our knowledge of mirror neurons to help our clients feel welcome, why day-dreaming can bring about eureka moments in therapy and how trance can accelerate positive change.
3. To understand the role of different brain waves and how the use of EEG (electroencephalogram) technology can show us what is happening to the brain during trance.
4. To understand how the mind and body is connected through the scientific field of psychoneuroimmunology and how hypnotherapy is perfectly situated to improve both our psychological health and our physical wellbeing.
