Gift Hamper Research Questionnaire Competition Terms & Conditions

  1. The Gift Hamper competition (the “Competition”) is open to NCH Members who have completed and returned the NCH Research questionnaire sent out in May 2019 and provided their contact details in the optional question 6 at the end of the questionnaire and are aged 18 or over.
  2. Directors, Executives or agencies of The National Council of Hypnotherapy Ltd
    (“NCH”, “We”), or family members or anyone else connected with the Competition may not enter the Competition.
  3. Entrants into the Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
  4. To enter the Competition you must be a Member of NCH. If you have any questions about how to enter or in connection with the Competition, please e-mail us at services@hypnotherapists.org.uk with “Gift Hamper NCH Research questionnaire May 2019 competition” in the subject line.
  5. Only one entry per person.
  6. The Competition closes the day after the deadline for the questionnaire returns.
  7. The winner will be selected by way of a random draw from all entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  8. The winner will be notified by either phone or email on or before 30 June 2019 and given details of how to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to the NCH within 14 days of being notified of their win, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the NCH shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 14 days or else they will also forfeit their prize). If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the NCH shall be entitled to select another winner.
  9. The prize will be sent to the winner by the NCH by 31 July 2019. It is the responsibility of all entrants to ensure the NCH retains up to date contact and address information. The NCH will not accept responsibility for the prize not being received where incorrect details are held.
  10. The name and county of the winner can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the following address: The National Council for Hypnotherapy Ltd, 27/28 Eastcastle Street, London,W1W 8DH.
  11. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or any other prize.
  12. The NCH reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.
  13. The winner may be requested to take part in promotional activity related to the Competition and the winner shall participate in such activity on the NCH’s reasonable request. The winner consents to the use by the NCH, both before and after the closing date of the Competition for an unlimited time, of the winner’s photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by the NCH) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Competition, all entrants consent to the same.
  14. The NCH shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at https://www.hypnotherapists.org.uk/privacy-policy/ , and in accordance with data protection legislation. By entering the Competition, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Competition entry, and for the purposes outlined in these terms and conditions.
  15. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of the NCH under law for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  16. The NCH reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of the NCH in all matters relating to the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  17. The NCH shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to the Competition where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure. Any financial liability found to be that of the NCH shall be limited to the financial value of the prize.
  18. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
