Overview

Hi there, I'm Thea, a trauma-informed integrative therapist and clinical hypnotherapist who’s passionate about helping people navigate anxiety. My approach is all about creating a warm, safe space where you can feel truly heard, supported, and free from judgment. Every journey is unique, so I tailor my work to your specific needs, helping you make the meaningful changes you’re seeking.

Perhaps you’re here because you want to make a change or because you’re struggling with anxiety, stress or depression. It could be that you’re going through a period of change or loss, navigating complicated feelings or dealing with relationship issues. Maybe you’re having trouble sleeping, want to work on overcoming a phobia or have a habit you want to break.

My objective and commitment as a therapist is to be there alongside you, shoulder to shoulder. By holding a space for you to be truly listened to, supported and empowered, I offer a compassionate, empathetic, non-judgemental and client-centred approach, believing you hold the skills to overcome the challenges you face. I truly believe that everyone deserves to be heard and have their experiences validated and I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable and at ease. We’ll go at your pace, and you won’t need to talk about things you’re not ready to discuss.

By training in an integrative approach to clinical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, I’m able to draw on a wide wide range of techniques and theories which is tailored especially to you, such as Clinical Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Parts work (I'm Internal Family Systems informed), Havening Techniques ®, Eye Movement Reconsolidation (EMR) and Person-Centred Psychotherapy. This means I’m able to use a multidisciplinary understanding of psychology to offer both short-term, evidence-based and solution-focused support or longer term therapy depending on what you feel you need.

It can be really daunting reaching out for help and taking the first steps to find a therapist. Reaching out for help is a courageous start and choosing the right therapist is an important part of your journey. To help you decide whether I might be the right person for you, I offer a free 20 minute discovery call, with no obligation, so you can explore this further.

I know that everyone’s situation is different, which is why I offer both face-to-face and online sessions - it’s all about finding what works best for you.

We all have our own unique story and journey, and I’m here to help you navigate yours.

Let’s work together to help you feel heard, understood and empowered.

A little about me ...

Since completing my BSc (Hons) in Psychology, I worked in the entertainment industry for over two decades, representing a roster of successful creatives. My own struggle with anxiety led me to return to my long held interest in psychology and, while embarking on my own therapy, I experienced the immensely positive impact of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy on my wellbeing. Having volunteered with a mental health charity supporting those in crisis, it was an easy decision to re-train and I qualified as a clinical hypnotherapist with additional psychotherapeutic training. I’m registered as a Hypnotherapist with the CNHC, NCH, NSTT and the UKCP as a trainee Psychotherapist, practising in accordance with their Code of Ethics and Professional Practice and am fully qualified to help with a wide range of issues, specialising particularly in anxiety related issues. I’m also a fully certified Havening Techniques Practitioner. Regular supervision is an integral part of my practice, ensuring continuous growth, maintaining high standards of care, providing the best possible support for my clients.

There are many issues I’m qualified to work with including :

Anxiety

Anger

Confidence and assertiveness

Bereavement and loss

Depression

Emotional issues

Fears and phobias

Habit Disorders (eg nail biting, hair pulling)

Insomnia

Low self-esteem and negative self-talk

Managing uncertainty

Obsessions and compulsions

Pain management

People pleasing and setting boundaries

Perfectionism

Stress management

This isn’t an exhaustive list and it may be that what you’re looking for isn’t included in the above. If that’s the case, please do get in touch as I have a wide area of knowledge and experience which allows me to work with most issues. In line with the UKCP ethical guidelines, if I’m not fully competent or qualified in the area you seek support with, I will discuss that with you and can refer you on for appropriate help.
