Hypnotherapy is a fast, effective and powerful method for making lasting changes in the way you understand and deal with life. It can successfully treat - depression, anxiety and stress, anger, phobias and habits, confidence, weight issues, self esteem and assertiveness, performance anxiety/sports performance, public speaking, smoking, IBS, bereavement, obsession thoughts and compulsive behaviour, pain management, quitting smoking, insomnia, ease childbirth and much more.
Hypnotherapy is the bringing together of the conscious and subconscious mind by inducing a trance state similar in many ways to ones achieved through being focused on reading a book, long distance running or watching TV. It feels similar to when you are just dropping off to sleep and is completely drug free, safe and natural.
It is often our behaviour patterns and negative thought processes that cause us problems leaving us unable to cope with life. Hypnotherapy can make a positive difference to the way we react by changing old patterns of behaviour to new more positive ones. This is achieved by by-passing the conscious mind with its anxious and analytical thoughts which often hinder us. Using the tools of hypnosis you are guided into a relaxed state enabling direct access to the subconscious mind. This is where instinctive behaviour patterns and natural reactions are formed. Using positive suggestions and imagery the therapist is able to focus on the behaviours the client wishes to change.
No one can be hypnotised against their will and even in trance people can still reject any suggestions given if they are not appropriate.
Number of sessions required varies as it is dependent on the issues or behaviours being addressed. This will be assessed in the FREE initial consultation.
