I completed my training at The Clifton Practice, one of the leading hypnotherapy centres in the South West where I gained a Diploma in Hypnotherapy (DHP) and the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD). In 2012 I also gained the SFBT Hyp meaning I am a qualified Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapists (NCH) and a committee member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH). As a member of these associations I adhere to a strict code of ethics. I also hold a fully enhanced CRB check.

The HPD is a nationally recognised qualification at Level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework; this is an endorsement of the quality, amount and level of learning.
SFBT Hyp is a Level 5 Award

Hypnotherapy is a safe, powerful psychotherapeutic tool which can be used to break the negative cycle of depression and anxiety. It can help with: addictions, anger, blood pressure, weight control, exam nerves, lack of confidence, insomnia, IBS, relationship/marital difficulties, migraine, nail biting, nightmares, obsessions, panic attacks, fears, phobias, stress and many more. Hypnotherapy uses the application of hypnotic techniques to bring about therapeutic change and is a very pleasant and relaxing experience.

Hypnosis is totally natural; it is concentration on a single focus or goal. We all drift in and out of trance throughout our daily lives, we daydream, we focus our attention on something and block out distractions. Examples of this can include listening to music, watching a film, driving a car or simply being deep in thought. In a relaxed state our minds can find solutions for us, they find the right answer, and because we are relaxed we don’t have to argue with the answer and find further problems.

Put simply hypnosis is a state of focused attention, there are no rules, it is yourself, looking at you, and so your experience will be totally unique. Most people do love to say how enjoyable it is, having time to yourself, just thinking with no distractions; like a good spring clean for your mind.
