Ethical and responsible: with client welfare in mind.
In the year 2000 the House of Lords produced a report which integrated a section on Complementary and Alternative Medicines. The then Princes Foundation for Integrated Health set up the Council of National Health Care (CNHC). This is a voluntary regulatory body which oversees the quality of practitioners to protect the public. As a practitioner Maria Richards is a registered member of this organisation.
The program to register complementary and alternative practitioners was supported by the King’s Fund and Department of Health.

Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapists are trained by the Quest Institute. This institute has aligned itself with the Pragmatic Research Network.
All QCHP practitioners are trained to use the assessment protocols to help track client progress. This can help to motivate and reinforce better behaviours which can help to improvement more quickly.
Maria Richards includes these outcome measurements, (* as recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence), as part of the therapy and shares this information with her client’s.
