Staying Legal as a Hypnotherapist
Natalie Nunn is a highly experienced Senior Associate Solicitor with nearly 15 years’ experience practising law, alongside her work as a qualified hypnotherapist and trainee psychotherapeutic counsellor.
She is registered with both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), reflecting her commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards across both the legal and therapeutic professions.
Natalie currently serves as Director of Education and Compliance Officer for the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), where she plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s educational standards, governance framework, and regulatory responsibilities.
The combination of her legal insight and therapeutic understanding enables her to bridge the gap between professional regulation and everyday clinical practice. She is particularly interested in helping hypnotherapists understand the legal and ethical frameworks that underpin safe practice, including issues such as safeguarding, consent, confidentiality, record keeping and professional boundaries.
Natalie is passionate about supporting practitioners to develop confidence not only in their therapeutic skills but also in the professional responsibilities that accompany working with clients.
The main aim of this taster CPD is to make legal and ethical topics accessible, practical and relevant, helping practitioners feel more informed, protected and empowered in their work.
