With over two decades of experience as a full-time hypnotherapist, Garry is one of the very few who was awarded an MSc in Clinical Hypnotherapy, for which he carried out ground breaking research into the effects of presurgical hypnosis on the recovery quality in breast cancer operations. The results were amazing! Garry is known around the world as one of the top specialists in the area of Hypno-Oncology.

Garry was contracted, for over nineteen years to a major UK NHS hospital for oncology-based hypnotherapeutic work, in addition to practicing from within a local GP surgery, he has worked with over 2,500 cancer patients.

In 2016, the UK Hypnosis Convention claimed Garry to be amongst the top thirty hypnotherapists in the world.

In 2024, The 41st Mid America Hypnotherapy Conference in Chicago presented Garry with the ‘Medical Hypnotherapist of the Year’ award.

Garry sits on the Profession Specific Board (for Hypnotherapy) for the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council, which was set up by the Department of Health as a voluntary governing body for complementary therapies in the UK. He is one of a team of three who advises on the national curriculum for hypnotherapy training and ethics. He also sits as an expert witness on malpractice panels.

Garry comes at hypnotherapy from a scientific background and continues to be involved in research. He is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Garry is a regular presenter, worldwide, at conferences as well as presenting his own popular Hypno-Oncology masterclasses.

He has presented his hypno-oncology masterclasses around the world teaching hundreds of doctors, surgeons, psychologists, nurses and practitioners in places including the USA, Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.

He also presents monthly mentoring sessions to people around the world with top guest presenters, such as Dave and Cheryl Elman.
