CPD Event title: Dealing with Self-Harm and Suicide
Brief Description Of Event:
This CPD builds understanding of self-harm, its causes, and suicide, explaining suicidal states, appropriate responses, and applying effective solution-focused approaches to support clients.
Self-harm and suicide are often subjects not discussed or there are misunderstandings of how to help. After this CPD you will be able to confidently discuss the role of stress in impacting our mental health and how self-harm can develop whilst experiencing stress and anxiety. Break the taboo of these conditions which can become hidden, along with dealing confidently with clients who are experiencing suicidal tendencies and how we can use SFH to support our clients.
You will be able to use this information to explain how our techniques work with both clients and other healthcare professionals, signposting other practitioners when required from a place of confidence.
