CPD Event title: Environmental Toxins and Detoxing – a Therapists Guide
Brief Description Of Event:
A fascinating deep-dive into what toxins we are exposed to, the impact that these have on our health and wellbeing, and how we can reduce their impact.
Live via Zoom – 9:30am – 1pm
Discounted rate for members of the GHR, NCH and BIH – £109 (standard price £99)
We live in a toxic world – that is an unavoidable fact. Every day, we are exposed to a huge amount of chemicals, metals and other environmental pollutants.
But do any of us really understand what the potential impact of this is for our health and wellbeing? How do these substances affect us, physically and mentally?
Do you know how to recognise the signs of toxicity in your clients, and what the impact of daily toxin exposure might be for their symptoms like anxiety and depression?
Learning Objectives:
On the Workshop you will learn:
• What are toxins
• Where do they come from, and how are we being exposed?
• How do they affect our physical and mental health – what is the evidence that these substances are a problem
• What are the possible symptoms of toxin exposure? How might you see that in your clients?
• How can we reduce our exposure to potentially toxic substances
• How can we support our bodies to detox
• Who you can refer to if you suspect toxicity might be a factor for your clients.
The course includes a certificate of attendance and relevant handout material, together with ongoing help after the course.
