Course Content
- To gain confidence in the effectiveness of SFH as a tool to support clients with side effects from cancer treatment.
- Knowledge of relevant case studies.
- An understanding of the symptoms that can be helped with SFH, including pain, nausea, vomiting, nervous bladder, anxiety and low mood.
- To feel confident with the SFH protocol when working with a client struggling with the side effects of chemotherapy/radiotherapy.
- To be able to ethically promote this delicate area to potential clients.
- To support clients and their families facing or undergoing cancer treatments.
- To have an understanding of the issues surrounding a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

About your tutor
Jenny Mellenchip is an award‑winning Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Stafford, offering both in‑person and online sessions. With over a decade of experience, she has supported many clients through their cancer journey from diagnosis through the challenges of treatment and aftercare. She has found hypnotherapy to be particularly effective at offsetting the side effects from chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.
After a career in training, sales and marketing, Jenny trained initially as an NLP practitioner, then as a trainer of NLP. By 2014 she had qualified in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH), followed by the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) early in 2015 and the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma (AHD) in 2017 — the highest qualification in her field.
Jenny is also a hypnotherapy supervisor, accredited by the NCH and founded multiple SFH training schools. CPHT Leeds was her first school, which she ran successfully for 8 years before handing it over to her colleague, during which she has successfully trained over 200 Solution Focused Hypnotherapists. She now provides CPD training for her fellow SFH practitioners.
